Edo Kiriko rock glass, Mai(舞)
This Edo faceted glass is a rock glass inspired by Japanese dance(舞). It represents a fan dancing gracefully. Also, since the feathers appear to be soaring, the glass is also meant to represent the power to extend the abilities of the bearer, to develop their strengths, and to make them leap forward.

Edo faceting is said to have begun in the late Edo period (1603-1867) with the faceted work of Kagaya Kyubei, a bead craftsman in Odenma-cho, Edo.
Established in 1934, Kagami Crystal, Japan's first manufacturer specializing in crystal, has been producing extremely delicate crystal products produced by skilled craftsmen.
