Each plum blossom is individually shaped three-dimensionally and carefully painted in beautiful Kuresu blue.
Ogata Shoemon (real name Ogata Masaaki) studied under Okugawa Chuemon, an intangible cultural asset, and left many masterpieces as well as a great influence on later contemporary Arita-yaki artists.
His masterpiece is a large lantern (planned and produced) for Sueyama Shrine in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, which is well known as the god of pottery.
